We will explain how to measure your carbon footprint and how to zero it out with good deeds or donations.
About this event
Join Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church Adult Discussion Group for this talk. Northwoods is in north Houston. That’s Texas, USA.
Everyone is promising to become net-zero for carbon emissions by 2050 or sometime: Britain, China, Shell Oil and lots more. Why so long? I’m past net-zero now.
Teresa Allen will explain how to measure your carbon footprint and make plans to reduce it. I will explain how to offset your emissions by good deeds for the planet. I will show slides about climate solutions.

Before the class, please make a stab at calculating your footprint but try not to get stuck in the details. I use this calculator. The average American’s footprint is 16 tons.
Also please think about how to reduce your footprint and offset it. Your good deeds may have already zeroed it out. Teresa volunteers for Planned Parenthood and I say that counts. A lot. Health and Education are big on the Project Drawdown list of 100 solutions.
