“Count Every Vote: A Vigil for Democracy” will be an opportunity for witnessing, fellowship and prayer as we await the results from this pivotal election.
Held in three locations, you can join us online via Zoom, and outside at the Museum District and Thoreau campuses from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Central) .
If you are planning to attend online, please send us an email to info@firstuu.org so we can send you the corresponding Zoom link. If you are already on our email mailing list, you will be receiving the link
on our Sunday Ministers’ message. For online participants, we invite you to bring a poem, song, reading, or reflection that you would like to share.
The in-person vigil (at both campuses) will be a socially-distanced event.
Participants will be required to wear masks and there will be a check-in station upon arrival for you to sign-in and get your temperature checked. If you have a runny nose, cough, fever, or any other symptom of illness we ask that you participate online. We also encourage those who are from vulnerable populations to participate online as well. If you are planning to
attend either one of the in-person locations, please bring your own chair.
