When we founded TXUUJM in 2012 not an elected soul @ the Capitol knew us from Adam’s proverbial house cat.

A few weeks ago I was testifying before the House State Affairs committee. The chair, Representative Byron Cook called my name. When I approached the mic he said,

“Good to see you again Pastor, you were here a few days ago to testify.”

 

We then had a friendly and humorous exchange.

The next week I signed up to testify opposing another bill.  This time I didn’t stay till 3:30 am.  Chairman Cook called my name and I did not approach.  Sonja Miller from the Texas Freedom Network was there. She told me he remarked,

 

“Chuck, he is always here.”
